5 Minute Microwave Chocolate Cake in a MugServes 6 | Prep under 30 mins
75ml ( 5 tablespoons) of Sasko self raising cake Flour
30ml (2 tablespoons) of castor sugar
30ml (2 tablespoons) of cocoa powder
30g (6 blocks) of good quality dark chocolate, cut into small chunks
45ml (3 tablespoons) of milk
1 large egg
45ml (3 tablespoons) of sunflower or canola oil
Equipments
1 mug (at least 400ml capacity)
1 mixing bowl
1 spatula
Tablespoon measuring spoon
Microwave oven
1. Tip the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.
2. Make a well in the centre and add the milk, egg and oil.
3. Stir together, using a spatula, to mix well.
4. Pour batter into the mug and microwave for 1 minute on high.
5. Microwave for a further minute on high.
6. Tip out onto a plate or eat straight from the mug.
1. Eat with a dollop of vanilla ice cream or a squirt of canned cream for a real indulgent dessert.
2. Substitute the milk with strong coffee for a delicious mocha flavour.
3. Every microwave is a bit different; you may need to experiment a bit with yours to get the perfect result. If your cake is still runny after 2 minutes, give it another 30 second blast and test again.
